CatchLink is designed to be useful without knowing anything about you. This policy describes exactly what the app does — and does not do — with data.
What CatchLink collects
Nothing. CatchLink does not collect, store, or transmit personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no user identifier.
Data the app uses on your device
- Commute profiles you create (origin station, destination station, walking time, active days/hours). Stored on your device only.
- Cached arrival data from the public Sound Transit Link feed. Cleared on its own; never sent anywhere.
Network requests
CatchLink makes anonymous HTTPS requests to the Puget Sound regional OneBusAway API at api.pugetsound.onebusaway.org to fetch public arrival data. These requests contain no personal information and no device identifier. They are required for the app to show real-time arrivals.
Location
CatchLink may ask for When In Use location permission to estimate walking time to a platform. If you grant it, your location is used only on your device and never leaves it. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in Settings → CatchLink → Location; the app remains fully functional without it.
Analytics, advertising, and third-party SDKs
None. CatchLink does not include analytics frameworks, advertising SDKs, crash reporters that transmit data off-device, or any third-party tracking.
Children
CatchLink is rated 4+. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes in a material way, the updated date at the top of this page will be revised and the app release notes will mention it.
